On October 30, 2023, our volunteers visited the city of Kharkiv for the first time with a humanitarian purpose, and provided 20 packages of necessary products, as well as several warm things and lanterns. They got to know locals and refugees from Kharkiv and Donetsk regions. And it turned out that after the full-scale war, thanks to Viktor Korotovsky, who collected data and the number of people with hearing impairment who are in the city of Kharkiv; there were around 200 people at first, but throughout the year there were already about 700 refugees who have left their homes and were looking for a safe haven.
And so, on December 5, our volunteers visited the city of Kharkiv for the second time, two locations this time where humanitarian aid was needed. First, we provided humanitarian aid to the first group of hearing-impaired people, where ULCD (UTOG) served as the humanitarian aid distribution point thanks to Taras Strilecki, who prepared and gathered people to receive 30 humanitarian packages, as well as hygiene products, blankets and other necessities.
After ULCD (UTOG) our volunteers went with a humanitarian mission to the second location, which was an educational institution "Regional Center for Professional Education of Construction Technologies of the Kharkiv Region", there they also provided 30 packages of humanitarian aid and other necessary items. We found out about life and functioning of the educational institution during the war, and also that students with hearing impairment also study there.
But we did not manage to cover the humanitarian need in two locations, as we brought only part of the aid to those who are in need and in difficult situations. There are many refugees from Donetsk and Kharkiv regions in the city of Kharkiv. Our foundation tries to help everyone, and without your help it is impossible to do this, each of your contributions materially and financially is an incentive to fulfill the entire list of humanitarian needs, but we all perfectly understand that products are not eternal.
If not us, then who? Deaf people have deaf people! Together to victory!
We will ask the whole world for financial aid.
